Fashion Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly.

Ain't that the truth. Well, here's my dilemma...I bought 2 pair of shoes to wear Thursday when Auburn Guy is being inducted into Phi Kappa Phi (a really big deal for him!).

Here's the thing: One pair is pretty and one pair is comfortable. Which should I go with?
I'm wearing black pant, black jacket and a white camisole.

The pretty pair - but uncomfortable.

The ugly pair - but I'm sure I could stand in them a couple of hours.

I also have to wear these to the graduation and I know I'll be standing for several hours and you really can't see them under my pants. But...I really like the pretty ones. Maybe I should keep both and switch out!

  1. If your going to be standing that much, definitely wear the "ugly". (I think they're pretty! But then, I have no fashion sense...my idea of dress shoes are my cleanest pair of boots.)

  2. I don't know, Debbie. If I had to be standing for several hours (or even several minutes probably) I wouldn't wear either on of them. I'd be wearing something with low heels and good arch supports. But then I'm currently paying for years of wearing fashionable shoes--plantar fascitis, Morton's neuroma, toe cramps, etc. However, I think both pair of your shoes look good. Wear the one that feels the best.

  3. To put your minds at ease...I never (ever!) wear heels -Birkenstocks, sneakers, mostly just socks in the house! But my daughter thinks I'm a fashion failure,so...I thought I'd give it a try - plus I won't have to hem my pants - Curses for being only 5'2"!

  4. Pain is the price you pay to look good!!! Go with the cute ones because your feet will probably hurt regardless.

BTW..I tagged you for a meme. Hope you don't mind.

  5. How about gel insoles? Otherwise be comfy.

  6. Well the comfortable ones don't look ugly to me. Maybe it's just a really good picture of them? But the cute ones are so cute I'd wear them. I'd probably pack along the ugly pair for backup if I couldn't stand it any longer! That's just 2 cents from someone you don't know, lol

  7. I actually liked both of them. But I am fashion-challenged so don't listen to me!
