I think I should name this "Red Quilt on the Farm". On the farm it's a cold, cold day...a good day for a quilt!
The wind was blowing so hard I had to move it to the other side of the fence, but before I did, I got this picture with the back showing:
And this is what is embroidered in the middle (before quilting):
It's for 'Bama Girl's BF's mother as a gift for Christmas...did you follow that? The mother (Suzy) is getting re-married soon and 'Bama Girl wanted to make something special for her.
'Bama Girl did most of the piecing and sewing and I did the borders and quilting for her...after all, she's busy studying for finals and being engaged (can't expect her to do everything!).
