Think Positive, think positive...

Honestly people, I'm trying.

My carpet did not come in yesterday, nor did the last of the tile.  I think I'm being very patient.  (For a redhead!) The first time it came in, it was the wrong color, but I re-ordered it...in a different color and they upgraded it to the most expensive they have in that line...so I was happy.  It is suppose to come in today...hmmmm we'll see!

The reason I'm trying so hard to get all this done, is because David called last night.  The job in Wyoming is to be finished the last week of July.  I'm flying up there and we'll drive the company truck home.  Do the sightseeing thing.  Spend about a week together.  Alone.  No kids.  The first time in 22 years.  Can you say "Honeymoon"?  Woohoo!

He also said that there is a possibility he may be on a job in Tuscaloosa.  Perfect!  He's not worked in Alabama in....I don't know the last time!  That means both him and 'Bama Girl will be in the same place at the same time!  And...it's closer to Auburn Guy.  So, all's good there!

Now, for the kicker!  I just got my braces off!  Yeah, kinda late in life, but better later than never.  Anyway, I had the braces on a year, then had jaw surgery, then braces back on for another year.  To finish everything up, I had to have a bridge made...but first a root canal.  Okay, did that.  3 weeks ago.  Well...that tooth is hurting and my jaw is swelling!  How can that be?  So, gotta go back!  See me jumping for joy?

Anyway, this post was a ramble and a rant.  I'm ready for good times!  I want to sew, quilt, anything but remodeling and root canals!

I hope you all have a great and productive day...I will (thinking positive!)

PS: How do you like my new page?  'Bama Girl did it.  Cute, huh?  So me!

Later,

Debbie

  5. Debbie, I have been a little busy lately so I am just catching up with your blog. I love your kitchen! The stainless steel appliances look fantastic. I am looking for a new stove myself but I don't know if I would like the stainless.

Have a great trip with your hubbie!
