My mother called today and said she'd received the package I'd sent her.
I had started her a quilt long before Christmas, but I knew that we (my brothers, sister and I) were all going in together to get her something for her present. So...I waited until last week to send it to her. Her birthday is in February and the quilt is a Christmas/Birthday/Valentine's present! (Got it all in there didn't I?)
She likes purple. Did you know there's not a lot of purple fabric out there?
I don't like this small picture because it looks blurry and it's not, so...you know the drill...click on it!
Love you, Mama!
And more...?
I also got a package in the mail...
eQuilter had an After-Christmas sale and these were what I got. Did you really think the package would be anything other than fabric? Should I seek professional help? I'm not even sure there is help for a fabricholic, so...I'll just have to deal with it.
Later,
Debbie
What a beautiful quilt! You are so talented. Your Mom looks so sweet. I bet she will enjoy that quilt for years to come! I LOVE quilts! They are so cozy. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYou look like your Momma! What a lovely gift you mailed her. I know she must have loved it SO much.
ReplyDeleteSince there are no programs to help with Fabric addiction, you will just have to keep struggling through on your on. Have fun! :)
What a BEAUTIFUL quilt!!!! I know that made your mother so happy. You should have been in JoAnn Fabric with me today. I waited an hour for them to call my number to the cutting table. When I gave up and left they called number 33. My number was 53!!! I would still be there waiting. Lots of beautiful stuff though. Have a wonderful week!

Oh, Debbie- the quilt is so beautiful! I know your Momma was tickled... even if it was one holiday late and one holiday early! *giggle* She has the sweetest smile.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you do find an organization for people with fat quarter and fabric obsessions... please let me know- I need help, too... LOL
Beautiful quilt and such a nice gift. I love all the new fabrics you have been buying.

Hi Debbie - What a super quilt! I can see others magically being made from the new fabrics you just got too. I guess you subscribe to the "She Who Dies With the Most Fabric Wins" club! haha! Good thing you have such a nice studio to stash it all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful gift for you Mom's birthday. Love the pattern.
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too much fabric!
