Booooooo!

happy_halloween_thumb[2]

I got Booed!  Valarie did it! Now...I'm doin' it to yoooou!

(I'm stealing Valarie's instructions!)

This is how the Blogging Boo will work. Go to as many friends as you want and tell them they've been "Boo-ed". Have them link back to your blog to pick up their Halloween Treat (picture) and tell them to "Boo" their friends. Then, put the picture in your side bar so everyone knows that you've already been "Boo-ed" and to send the pic to someone else. So, are you scared yet!!?? BOO!!

Ok one more time......

1. Take picture, put on sidebar

2. Tell people they have been booed

3. Link back to who booed you

Debbie

PS:  Thanks for all the comments - I'm feeling a little better!

My Life...

DSC01775

I have the flu...I'm sick, sick, sick! And I'm sick of being sick!

But, I have my remote, cell phone, various meds, quilting   magazines, the new Cath Kidston catalog (If you don't know what this is...Google it. I love everything in this catalog!), Blistex, vaporizer...and kleenex with lotion! What you can't see are my pillows and quilts!

I've also found that I hate daytime TV! I've watched wives swapping, nannies, little people, lots of people, lots of kids, good food, bad food, food that's creepy, good politicians, bad politicians, and creepy politicians!

So, until I feel better, you'll find me parked on the couch channel surfing.

Dog Tag!

Yes, finally...it's me,  Chance!  I'm hijacking my mom's blog!  Yay! Farm Chick Paula and Smokey  tagged me to do a tell-all about ME! Chance!  And let me tell you, Debbie is very thankful, because her life is not very exciting lately (although I try!)

Chance2

  So...here we go!

Please answer the following questions:

1.  What breed are you?

Maltipoo.  That's half Maltese and half Poodle!

2.  How old are you?

I'm really not sure...Mommy got me about 6 years ago, so I'm probably 7 or 8 years old.

3.  What is your full name?

Chance

4. Do you have any nicknames?

The one's I like are:  Chancey, Mama's Pretty Boy and Good Boy.

I can't say all the names that my Mom calls me when I'm bad, but the one I hate the most is.... CHANCE!  Bad, bad boy!

5.  Where do you sleep?

The question should be "Where don't I sleep"!

I sleep with my mom (in her bed) at night.  During the day, I sleep where ever she's at...the floor by the computer, the couch, the chair near the window.

6.  What is your favorite thing to do?

Hmmmm...that's a toss-up between sleeping and playing!

DSC01760

7.  What is something unusual or interesting about you?

I guess the most interesting is how Mom got me.  I was living with some other people and they would lock me in a room for a week or sometimes more when they would go out of town.  I was litter trained and had a feeder for my food and water, but was always scared it would hang up or break.  I COULD HAVE DIED PEOPLE! Also, every time the doorbell rang, I thought someone was coming for me and I would bark (I still do!)  Fortunately, the people decided this was not a good thing and asked their friend if they knew anyone who would want me.  That friend knew my mom had just lost her dog, Daisy and she was really sad.  So...she came to see me,  loved me and we've lived "Happily Ever After"!  The end.

One other interesting thing:  I popsicles! (sugar-free).  The only thing is...Mom won't let me have a whole one...she says it wouldn't take much to freeze my little pea-brain!

8.  Who is my best friend?

Other than my mom...it would have to be 'Bama Girl (she says she doesn't like me, but I know she does...she's just jealous 'cause Mom likes me more!)  Debbie:  "I've never said that!"

DSC01689

9.  Did you go to obedience school...if so were you "Top Dog" or would you flunk out?

Flunk out?  Everyone knows I'm the smartest, cutest, most lovable little pup there is!

10.  Can you do any tricks?

Heck, yes!  I can dance, walk on my hind legs, speak, and fetch!  I will do anything for a marshmallow!

Thank-you, thank-you very much!  That was so much fun!  And... I would like to pass this on to:

Valarie and Cannon

Susan and Sophie

Julia and Mickey

And to anyone else who reads my mom's blog and would like to play!  Uh-oh,  my mom is telling me I have to get off the computer, it's her turn!

DSC01308

Wow...what a character, I thought he'd never get off my computer!  Hope you all enjoyed that and would like to play along.

Whew! Roll Tide Ya'll!

Ole Miss   20

Alabama   24

Alabama 7/0

I don't know what Alabama is thinking about in the second half...but, it's getting on my last nerve!  I'm not sure if I will be able to watch them next week when they are at Tennessee!  I may have a breakdown!

Bama Girl will be at the game next week.  The band will be traveling to all the rest of the games!  And I kind of dread it for her, because some of the fans at out of town games are not very nice (and that's putting it lightly)!  Beer, cups, shoes...you name it, they throw it!

I spent most of today quilting, or rather sewing a quilt top.  I've had to put it up for now, because I've got vacuuming, cooking, and laundry to do!

David's coming home tomorrow morning and will be here until Tuesday afternoon.  Yay!

I'm cooking Senate Bean Soup at the moment.  I also have chicken cooking for chicken salad and for dumplings!  I'm trying to get most of the cooking out of the way.

So, once again...I'll probably not post until he leaves.

The well runs dry!

Really!  I don't have a lot to talk about...my life is kinda boring (and I won't be one of those people who talk only about what ails them!).

Auburn Guy and Bama Girl went back to their respective colleges.  'Bama Girl's phone turned up...yay!  Strange that it turned up where she has no classes, though. (?)

I have been busy, just can't show pictures because I've been working on Christmas presents...and some people actually do read my blog!

I will show the wall hangings I finished and finally hung!

      I'm happy with this one.

    This one?  Not so much.

    I need greenery...or something!

So, as I said...I've got nothing!

Do the Snoopy dance with me!

Oh happy day!  My babies are coming home!  Yea!  I haven't seen 'Bama Girl in about a month.  And I don't know when I've seen Auburn Guy...it must be about 3 months.  If you can't tell...I really miss 'em!

Ninja Turtle and the Thumb-sucking Clown!

They were so sweet back then!  I was going to wait and post this picture for Halloween, but I couldn't wait!

I wish David could be home this weekend, too.  But I went to Georgia Sunday and spent time with him on the only day he's had off in a month!  I had to come home Monday because he's working night shift and needed to get some sleep.  Hopefully, everyone will be home Thanksgiving.

Also, everybody say "Awwww, poor Bama Girl".  Somebody stole her cell phone and iPod.  She's very upset.  Not so much about the phone, but her tunes are gone. :(

Gotta get a shopping list started, Auburn Guy wants gumbo!

So...I guess I won't be posting for a few days.  'Bama Girl will be home Wednesday night (Fall break begins) and Auburn Guy will be home Friday night.  Both will leave Sunday.

Shhhhhhh....

Can you keep a secret?  I did something today...something I shouldn't have...so, don't tell David!  (Hopefully he won't read this!)

*whispering*  I bought 26 yards of fabric today.  Yeah, I know, right?  That's a lot!  But it was calling me.  And...it was on sale!  $1.00 a yard!  At Hancock's, can you believe it?  Twenty-six yards!  What a bargain, it was regularly priced at $5.99 to $8.99.  Where am I going to hide...I mean store it?

DSC01700

Really...if he thinks about it logically, he'll see I saved him money...lots of money!  (Think he'll buy it?)

I also saw the doctor today.  Last week, I went in for my yearly check-up.  Blood tests...just a regular check-up.  Friday, the nurse calls and says my sugar was up...way, way up and that the doctor was calling in meds for diabetes.  Whoa...wait a minute.  So, I called in and made an appointment for today.  I had a lot of questions before I started taking these medications.  Some were:  Should I have fasted before the tests?  No.  Would diet and exercise help?  No.  Is this the "Flavor of the Month Disease? No.  Okay.  He said my cholesterol was down, but my triglycerides are up, causing my sugar to go up.  So, he wants to put me on meds as a preventative measure for 3 or 4 months and if it isn't down then, he will put me on a new medicine that has to be injected twice a day for a few months.  Get the word "new"?  Yeah, I'm really thinking Disease of the Month.  As a matter of fact, a couple of other people I know have been told their sugar is up, too.  Alright, maybe I'm being paranoid and that's just a coincidence.  Yes, I know this isn't anything to mess around with.   Anyway, I agreed to take the meds and see what happens.

But, don't worry about the diabetes.  Now, David is another  problem...he may kill me if he reads about all that fabric!

Debbie
